Flange Isolation Gasket Kits are designed to maintain the integrity and reliability of the pipeline and piping system through safety and corrosion protection. Flange Isolation Gasket Kits provide an effective seal and electrical isolation of flanges. By eliminating metal to metal to metal contact, static current is halted to prevent corrosion and aid in the cathodic protection of the pipe.

Constructed of high quality materials that have a high dielectric constant and low water absorption, our Flange Isolation Gasket Kits are available for all size flanges, ranging from 1/2" to 144" in all ANSI and API classes
 

In addition, utilizing Flange Band Protectors in conjunction with flange insulation kits further enhances reliability and reduces risk. Drake flange protectors seal the flange internals to prevent foreign objects or debris from lodging between the flanges, forming a bridge, creating a short, and compromising the entire cathodic protection system.

Type F Gasket Kit

Type F "Raised Face" gaskets will fit only on the raised face surface of the flanges. The outside diameter of an F style gasket is slightly less than the inside diameter of the bolt circle. F type gaskets can be used on both raised face and full face flanges. It is recommended that the flanges be wrapped with Flange Band Protectors available from Drake Specialties or a similar device to prevent foreign material from collecting and creating a bridge, thus shorting out the cathodic isolation. Type F gaskets are available in phenolic, neoprene-faced phenolic, and high temperature materials.

Type E Gasket Kit

Our Type E "Full Face" Gasket style kit contains a full-face gasket that has the same outside diameter as the flanges. This style of gasket will prevent foreign material from collecting and creating a bridge in the flange which would short out the cathodic isolation. Type E gaskets are available in phenolic, neoprene-faced phenolic, and high temperature materials.

Type O Gasket Kit

Type O Gaskets have a sealing element on each side of the gasket and are available in both Type E and Type F styles. The sealing element materials are Nitrile, Viton, or Teflon®. Type O Gaskets are made of both phenolic and G-10 materials.

Type D Gasket Kit

Type D gaskets are designed to fit into the ring groove of RTJ (ring type joints) flanges. We also offer BX gaskets. Both are available in grade CE phenolic.
